Salehoo vs. Doba

Salehoo LogoDoba Logo
Doba is a great option for sellers that are looking for reliable suppliers at great prices. Finding and importing products is a breeze, and the subscription costs are reasonable enough for any business size. But how does it measure up to other dropshipping providers and does it live up to the dropshipper paradise label? Let’s find out.

Products, Shipping, and Pricing

Unlike Doba, Salehoo positions itself as a selling directory. Home to over 8,000 wholesalers, dropshippers, and manufacturers, they offer over 1.6 million products. Salehoo is a product sourcing tool, and it doesn’t actually sell or hold any of the products itself. However, like Doba, they vet all their suppliers before they are published on the directory, to ensure top quality products and service.   The platform works with suppliers from around the world, which means that if you are selling internationally, you may face notoriously long delivery times. The most significant difference between Doba and Salehoo is that Doba only ships within the U.S. Salehoo claims 80% of their suppliers ship worldwide, which makes Salehoo an obvious choice if you are not a U.S based supplier. When it comes making money with Doba, the biggest challenge for smaller startups are transaction fees. The cheapest plan with Doba is $29 per month, which is reasonable enough. However, Salehoo charges $67 for the entire year. That’s the cheapest dropshipping option to date. Salehoo also offers world-class educational materials for both — paying and non-paying customers. From simple advice about shipping and importing, to more in-depth business advice about selling better. Equally impressive educational material and customer support can be found on Doba. In a nutshell, Salehoo is great for beginners who are just taking dropshipping for a test drive. Doba is far more focused on retailers and entrepreneurs that already know what they are doing — it says in their pricing, in the sophisticated set of features, and educational material on offer. It’s also far more focused on making it easier for online sellers to make a profit and grow their business. The monthly Doba Deals newsletters and curated high-profit product lists are major benefits for choosing Doba over Salehoo.
